The Petroleum Situation
First, I know it's been a while since I posted but I've had a lot to think about. I also appreciate the e-mails and can see some people have commented on my posts. I hope an open dialogue is being created out there. That said, let's get back to petroleum. I asked someone's advice recently about the petroleum situation and here's what she told me: Back in the 30s, there was drought; there was no crop, no olives, no soul of life and no rabbit in the oven. People mashed the locusts and made bread.I don't get it.The petroleum situation wasn't created by nature like the drought, or the olives or any of that, it was created by people who act like nothing's happening when it's in fact causing lots of problems.Okay, forget petroluem. I have three questions for everyone reading: Why is it that people only ask themselves deep questions when something really bad happens, and then they forget all about it later? How come people are self destructive? I refuse to use petroleum but there's no way I can stop its use in my lifetime, is there?By the way, the price of oil dropped to $42.77 today. Hard to believe it was as high as $49 just a little over two weeks ago. Will it go higher or lower as we approach this election? Also, I did get some new tires for my bike.

Everything is meaningless...
Ok...about the petroleum thing...let's say the world is temporary (which it basically is), and identity is an illusion, then everything is meaningless, and it doesn't matter if we use petroluem, and that's got me very confused.I've been reading this book by Caterine Vauban. She says that nothing's connected, so you can do whatever you want, drive a car, burn up gas - which would explain the way things actually are. Where people do destructive things like it doesn't matter.I need to get new tires for my bike.

You're a murderer if you use petroluem...
I've said it before, I say it again...by using petroluem, you're a murderer at least three times:1 - killing the ozone and all the creatures that hurts2 - killing the Arabs in oil producing dictatorships where everyone is poor3 - killing the desperate people that poor arab terrorists killthere's more but I can't think right now... you can think about this picture and whether or not you should be riding a bike:

What does it all mean?
I just finished talking with my wife and frankly it doesn't matter anymore whether she supports me personally. I would rather she simply open herself up to the possibility of a higher level of thinking. I accept that she may leave me but then again, this is how ridiculous things have become and that we're just fooling ourselves trying to make things work. What does it all mean...really?
